**Description**

**This full-time position is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.**

**Pay Rate: $19.46**

The purpose of this position is to operate equipment associated with the elevator process. Interacts on a regular basis with bean merchants and customers, elevator operators, meal loaders, supervisors or other personnel. Operators in this position are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the elevator bean trucks and rail unloading in the elevator area. They will ensure that the equipment is fully operational and in good repair.

Principal Accountabilities:

Operate all equipment associated with the truck and rail unloading process, including drags, conveyors, truck dump and rail dump.

Operate Truck Dump and Rail Dump.

Unload soybeans from rail cars.

Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily.

Pull grain samples as required.

Monitor inventory of tanks by reading website on computer and/or ascending ladder to top of storage tanks to take physical tank measurements and determine when to switch tanks for operations.

Understand and adhere to the requirements of grain quality and storage.

Hand write tickets or use Stand Alone Scale Interface (SASI) if computer network goes down.

Inspects buildings, grounds and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long-range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing maintenance computer program.

Troubleshoot computers and call Help Desk when needed.

Troubleshoot operations and customer problems as required.

Perform light maintenance.

Complete all housekeeping assignments, work to improve the condition of the department, and work as a team member with a positive attitude.

Operate railcar puller/mover to move rail cars.

Push beans into or within bins using mobile equipment.

Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision.

Able to work outdoors and in a dusty environment.

Understand and adhere to state and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.

Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing maintenance computer program.

Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation

Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings.

Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.

Assist other crush and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested by the production supervisor

**Qualifications**

**Requirements:**

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production environment.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

Ability to work in elevated areas

Must be able to operate machinery

Must be able to operate heavy equipment

Must be able to read/write English

Basic computer skills

Ability to work overtime

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

Preferred Qualifications

Forklift Certified

High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in production related work
